How to register a team
Conquerors run a ‘coach first’ registration process. This is where players find a coach and a team manager. Often this is a parent of a player with some basketball experience. Last season we also had great success with under-18s coaching a younger grade. This is a fantastic opportunity for up-and-coming leaders to gain experience and share their love of basketball. Please note however, under 18 coaches require a supervising adult.

The step by step process:
-
Players find a coach and a team manager. The club suggests 8 players to a team.
-
The coach, team manager and, if applicable, the person supervising the under-18 coach, complete and sign registration forms in the coach information and application pack. These packs are available by emailing conquerorsbasketball@outlook.com. This pack includes an application form, statement of faith, working with children check and pastor's reference form.
-
The coaches and managers return completed forms and working with children checks to conquerorsbasketball@outlook.com
-
Once the committee has approved the application, coaches will be provided with a link and details on how to register themselves and their team on Player HQ.
-
Your team is now ready to go! Details for preseason coach events and the club’s season launch will be announced soon. Games start at the beginning of term 4.
There may be vacancies within teams, but we have found that this doesn’t happen often. If teams require more players, coaches are encouraged to ask around their communities. They can also post on the More Than Conquerors Basketball Club Players and Coaches Looking for a Team.

We understand the coaching application may seem vigorous. However, we believe our coaches and managers are the club’s backbone and together we create a whole team to care for our players on and off the court. More Than Conquerors is a faith-based club built on the foundation of ‘supporting the needs of the whole person through sport’.
